Throughout Illusion’s hentai dating sim Koikatsu players can pursue lovemaking with a variety of customized characters. This guide will provide a general explanation of how to seduce girls in Koikatsu, as well as the different options available for lovemaking.

Basic seduction

After starting a new game or adding a new girl to the class roster, they start out by default as having no relation to you. Go up to the girls and initiate an interaction by right-clicking on them. You initially work towards friendship with the girls by using either the talk function or having them ask you a question to answer, which fills the relationship meter wrapped around their portrait. This process will be more effective the higher your avatar’s intelligence.

You also work on increasing the H-meter, which can be done by discussing erotic topics, ogling, or touching. The combination of the two, as well as the personality of the character, determines if they will accept romantic advances by you. When you’re feeling confident, click the heart icon and select the “Do H” option to try your luck. This will result in the standard H-scene with all the positions you have unlocked.

Dates, girlfriends, breakups

Additional romantic scenes can be found by confessing to girls or accepting their own confessions. The likelihood of this happening (or being accepted) is again based on the relationship meter.

Bedroom scene: Once a girl has been turned into a girlfriend, suggest walking home with them at any time during the afterschool timeslot. Usually this results in a friendly scene, but with girlfriends you receive the option to have them come home with you instead.

Dates: Dating a girl results in a few conversations, but with the After-School expansion you get more choice. Simply approach a girlfriend at school and ask them on a date, which always take place on Sunday. If you already dated that girlfriend once before you’ll be given a choice between different date spots. As you keep dating, these will result in various special H-scenes.

There is no penalty for having multiple girlfriends/lovers or even being caught cheating. Subsequently, there’s no purpose to breaking up either unless you want to make the girls sad.

Peeking & intruding

Throughout each school day you’ll find female students suspiciously making their way to empty classrooms or rarely-visited corners of the school. If you give chase while using stealth (Z to crouch, Shift to slow-walk) you may catch the girls going at it themselves or engaging in a lesbian scene. Approaching carefully and pressing RMB will allow you to peek at these activities. This also works in the showers and toilets, though less stealth is required in those cases.

While spying on a lone girl, you’ll be presented the option to intrude on her fun by pressing a button. This triggers an H-scene, but this option is only available if you already romanced her before. This means the option can’t be used as a shortcut to romancing a girl. Additionally, if you are spotted while sneaking, the girl(s) will be embarrassed and run away from you for a while.

3-player action

There are 2 ways to trigger H-scenes for groups, both of which are complicated. These will only work if both girls are “experienced”, referring to the level of each sexual category the game tracks. In other words, you need to bone them silly quite often before this even becomes available.

Option 1: Initiate an H-scene with girl 1 while near girl 2. If both girls are experienced, both their moods are just right, and their H meters are high, then you have a chance of being offered the prompt to invite the second girl.

Option 2: Catch the girls in a lesbian scene and intrude on it like you would with a masturbation scene. This (again) only works when they are both experienced, but removes mood from the equation.

Depending on how many students you have, this may prove to be nearly impossible to achieve. It takes a lot of play time to set up the prerequisites, but you are then also dependent on sheer luck whether events trigger properly or the correct girls will randomly decide to hook up. Considering how underwhelming the 3-way scene is, I’d recommend just setting it up in Free H mode instead of trying to pursue it in the story.

Special H-scenes

Throughout the school are various Special spots where you and a sexually-available girl can engage in a semi-unique scene with a limited amount of positions. To make these available, simply get a girl to follow you through the interaction menu. If they are interested in romance, then large icons with red a heart will appear above these locales. Note: this is different from the red heart icons marking opportunities to peek on girls.

As of today, the following locales have special H-scenes:

• The love sofa in the Koikatsu club room.
• The table in the library.
• One of the cubicles of the male staff toilet on the second floor.
• The chain-link fence on the roof, right next to the bench.
• The small storehouse attached to the gymnasium.
• The empty swimlane of the pool.
• The first bench on the left when entering the indoor pool area.
• One of the benches in the girls’ locker-room, between the pool and the cafetaria.
• A chance of triggering an H-scene exists when sleeping on either the empty bench on the roof or the bed in the hospital.

These scenes are easy to trigger by using the Koikatsu Club to meet with a girl at a set location or by calling a girlfriend with your phone when already at the right spot.

Darkness

The Darkness expansion comes with a special, more violent scene where a girl is forced into a 3-way with you and the school’s janitor. Hence the unsettling name. Only a select few personality types are compatible with this DLC, so prior to triggering this in story mode, consider going into Free H to see which characters are suitable.

To trigger the Darkness Scene, take a non-virgin girl with a compatible personality type to the 3rd floor hallway. Between the stairway and tea room is an inconspicuous door that houses the janitor’s closet. If the two conditions (non-virgin, suitable personality) are met, then a hand icon will appear by the door.

Since the 3rd floor is not often traversed, the easiest way to achieve this is by making a girl follow you there, using the Koikatsu Club to direct a girl, or by calling a girlfriend on her phone.

Story mode & Teachers

Each day is cut into 3 pieces, each of which will spawn an event character. These are either 1 of 4 love interests or a female teacher. In the case of the love interests, they may be represented with a star-shaped EVENT icon instead of actually being physically present in the school.

For the love interests, simply go up to them or the icon to trigger a visual novel scene that continues the story. You are under no obligation to actually read the text and may fast-forward if you aren’t interested. Do note that sometimes the girls will disappear for several days and their next event will trigger at a specific time. These storylines eventually all conclude with an erotic visual novel scenes, which is completely unique and not repeatable. You may end up having to reload or start a new safe if you skipped these scenes by accident.

The teachers are also available for romance. Simply make sure to talk with them a few times whenever they appear in a timeslot, and they’ll eventually force you into an H-scene. Afterwards a meter will be visible in the class overview that tracks when their scene may be repeated.

The game as downloaded from Steam only contains "Have Sex" mode and "Concert" mode. To play the story mode you have to download the "special patch" from Illusion. In case you were wondering, like I was, Koikatsu means "Love Activity"

Due to circumstances beyond your control, you are now the only boy at an all girls school! The girls have little experience talking to boys so you're tasked with starting the Koikatsu Club! You practice dating (and doing other things) with as many girls as you can to prepare them for the future.

You can fill up the school with premade girls, or make your own with the robust character creator. You can make your girls petite, voluptuous, green, grey, and everything in between. You can create your male character too, but it's kind of hard to not give him very feminine hips. Not that there's anything wrong with that. There is also a decent selection of clothes and accessories to choose from, but many of them are samey. You can also download girls from other players direct from Illusion's servers. A lot of people have spent a lot of time making characters from various anime.

The story mode follows a simple flow, but has a tendency to get repetitive and grueling. This likely affected me more than it would affect a casual player, since I was trying to see everything. During the 3 school breaks you get, you walk around and talk to as many girls as you can. Once their affection for you is high enough, they'll join the club and be your girlfriend. There is no limit to how many girlfriends you can have. While some will get mad when they see you with other girls, none of them ever broke up with me.

You increase affection by talking to girls, hitting on them, and answering their questions. Once your affection is high enough, you can "do it". For the first time this follows a flow of caress -> receive -> insert. Each must be done in the correct order, with the correct gentleness to please the girl the first time. After that, as long as you get her to climax, she's not as picky. It takes a long time to max a girl's affection, but if you talk to every girl every chance you get, they'll fall for you at once. Harem doesn't even begin to cover how many girlfriends you can have in this game.

Ass you progress through the days you'll have "special events" with four girls that are always in the game. They are:

1. The girl who sits next to you in homeroom who is afraid to let people down
2. An idol who feels isolated from her classmates
3. The Manga Club president who is only confident when cosplaying
4. A cheerleader desperately trying to live up to her sister's achievements.

All their problems, like so many, are solved by your character's penis. Over the course of many in-game days you grow your relationship with these girls. It's completely pre-determined though, there's no way to not hook up with them, unless you avoid the events all together. These stories culminate in a non-controllable sex scene with a LOT of dialogue. It has a more romantic feel than the normal hookups, but didn't seem worth all the time it took to get there.

Horny Parts

• Concert Mode

  Concert Mode simply lets you pick a girl and watch her sing a song on stage. It is as sexy or as wholesome as the outfit you pick for her. There is only one singing voice regardless of what voice you pick for your girl.

• Dating

  You have to date as many girls as you can! Luckily they're all pretty eager if you answer their questions right.

• Character Creator

  The creation tool is really good and fun to play around in. You can make all kinds of girls, dress them up, and pose them.

• Peeping

  As you explore the school, you'll find girls doing things you might want to see. Your character has the option to peep on them. This is usually done during showering, peeing, and masturbating. If you aren't careful though they'll just get embarassed and run away.

The meat and potatoes of this game is character creation and sex scenes, and it delivers on those perfectly. There's a very active modding community like most Illusion games, so even if the devs don't offer anything new, you can expect this game to grow and change for a long time to come. It's pricy at $60, but if you wait for steam sales you can get it for a bit cheaper.

Skip Relationship Building Cheats

While there are no built-in cheats to change stats and max affection, there is a “Free H” mode accessible from the main menu that lets you jump straight to the sex scenes.

Unlock All Sex Positions Unlockables

You unlock different sex positions and acts through the story and your interactions.

Completing each major character’s story will unlock one position.

An additional eight positions can be unlocked by training Sensuality while with a girl.

22 positions can be unlocked by getting all H scenarios to 100%. They are gradually unlocked as your percentage increases.

Finally, the remaining 12 can be unlocked as you increase your club rank through the Club Activity Report, with new positions unlocking at Rank B, Rank A, and Rank S.

Basic Tips Hints

Default characters all come with their own starting traits. However, you can change the details about custom characters by editing their cards.

Many fans have created custom cards that you can add to your own game by downloading them and putting them in the character folder.

You can have multiple girlfriends, but they will get mad at you if you go out on dates with multiple girls in the same week. However, they won’t break up with you.

You will earn points for your club by recruiting new club members and interacting with characters. Once you earn 10,000 points, you can start ranking up your club. To see your Club Rank and increase it, interact with the Club Activity Report in the Club Room.

Special Patch Unlockables

There is a special patch available from the developers that adds new story content and dating sim content with a school theme. It adds school uniforms and other related outfits and accessories, as well as the character data for the characters appearing in their school uniforms.

To add the patch and unlock this content, you’ll need to get it directly from the official website: http://koikatsuparty.illusion.jp/

Once you have it downloaded, make backups of your Steam folders just in case something goes wrong during the process, then copy the files from the special patch to the Steam folder for the game. Once you overwrite the files with the new files, you should have the new content installed and ready when you play.

There are several mods and fan-made patches available for Koikatsu Party, but the special patch is free official content released by the developers after the game was out.

Unlock DLC Content Unlockables

There are two DLC packs not available through Steam, the After School DLC and the Summer DLC.

After School:

• 4 new personalities (returnee, slang/dialect, sadistic, emotionless)
• MFF relationship
• 4 new locations and new dialogue
• New outfits
• New hair
• Character cards

Summer:

• 3 new personalities (charming, honest, determined)
• Swimsuits
• Character cards

The DLC can be bought from Japanese sites. After you buy and download it, you can install them and then copy the files to your Koikatsu Party Steam folder. However, keep in mind that these DLC packs do not have English translations.

All Quirks Hints

You can give characters certain “quirks” that change little details about their behavior and habits. This is mainly related to how they will act in the game or respond to certain things, rather than being related to the personality type. Here is what all of the quirks do:

• Small Bladder – goes to the bathroom often
• Always Hungry – eats often
• Oblivious – doesn’t get angry easily, but affection also rises slowly
• Slutty – affection rises quickly
• Bitchy – won’t object to the player being in male-restricted areas or doing similar things
• Pervert – increased affection from lewd conversations and will follow the player into female-restricted areas
• Loves Reading – reads often
• Loves Music – listens to music often
• Active – performs animations twice as often
• Passive – gets a higher affection boost from being asked questions, and more experience from the player being dominant
• Friendly – appears in crowds more often and affection rises faster
  Fastidious – cleans areas often
• Lazy – progresses more slowly in situations where she needs to take the lead
• Elusive – appears suddenly
• Solitary – avoids crowds, often can be found alone
• Sporty – exercises often
• Serious – affection rate is lowered in lewd conversations
• Into Girls – will enter a relationship with girls as well as the player

How to activate Darkness DLC Hints

The Darkness DLC does not work with the Steam version of the game. If you have a non-Steam version of the game and have installed the Darkness DLC, you can activate it by having a girl follow you if she meets the following criteria:

• She is one of the following personality types: typical schoolgirl, ojousama, pure, friendly, or timid
• She is not a virgin
• She is not in a relationship with the player

Then, with her following you, walk to the third floor corridor by the stairs and there will be a prompt to start the scene.

The story mode has a series of ADV events for each of the story heroines (custom characters don't get these unless you replace the story character with a custom one). There can be one event marker (star icon) somewhere in the school during a single period. When event is accessed, it will take up the rest of the period and the day will advance to the next one.

To see where the current story event is located (if there is one), you can check the F4 menu or (the "clipboard" icon in the middle click menu). The character for the story event should appear next to your male character at the top. If there is no event currently in school, the spot will have a random teacher.

Story Events

• The 4 heroines will disappear after their own story finished, and there are no H-sessions with them. (Only H dialogues.) The only way you can have actual sessions with them is when go back home at night, select their cards and save them. You then can use these "copies" of heroines as normal students. Sadly, as a new student, you will have to date them again, and their special characteristics (next-door girl, cute chearleaer team leader, famous idol...) all lost.

H Events

• Successfully invite a girl home will result in H. On the first visit (at the morning after you wake up), the girl will leave a memo for the PC in the next morning before they leave. Second visit, the girl takes a shower before you. Third visit, the girl wake up (half naked) next to you. Fourth visit, the girl do H with you before going to school.

• The "shower", "wake up" scene act as a dialogue rather than a movie.

• As the story progress, you will eventually be able to H unique NPCs (i.e. The 3 teachers). You need to have invited ~6 girls to your koikatu club, the keep talking to the teacher. Notice the H-value would increase after certain dialogues. In each session, only one such increase would happen, so you may jump to next session to find the teacher again. After ~4 successful sessions, the teacher will "check the result of your club" and initiate H.

• Teacher have sex just like students and also have the 8 H- stats. Fill them all up and they will be "experienced". To make a teacher become a "nympho", keep talking with them to fill their H-meter as mentioned above.

Date

• If you date more than one girl, you will actually date the girl you make dating promises at last.
• If you have the after school DLC, you can select 4 different places for dating, and have H sessions in some of them.
• In after school DLC, dating is the fastest way to increase "lover points" (max. as 100, NOT the usual love points in the upper-left corner).
• There will not be an option to have sex after the first date, you will just say goodbye for the day. Also, the first date will not use the new dating system even if you have the After School DLC. The choices will not appear until the second date.

Marriage event

• Pseudo-marriage is actually a date, and is only possible with the after school DLC.
• After you have 100 lover points with a certain girl, take her to the 4 dating sites one by one, and in the dating, select the options that continue the dating (i.e. Sing more songs in karaoke, stay longer in park, visit the ferris wheel in amusement park. Seems no such options when dating in a cafe.) May need to have sex during dating.
• After the 4 dates, when you have a new dating with that girl, a "???" will appear as the fifth dating sites. That's the pseudo-marriage.
• After pseudo-marriage, you can select "wedding" under the "extra" option in the title screen. You can only have wedding with the girl (to be precise, the same personality) that undergo pseudo-marriage with you.
• The wedding event should be seen as the "ending" of the whole love story.
