A native Oregonian, Harvard Law School grad, and former state legislator, Brent is also one of the more accomplished civil trial lawyers of his generation. He has litigated complex cases all over Oregon and has argued in front of the Oregon Supreme Court and Oregon Court of Appeals. He has obtained over $130 million dollars in verdicts or settlements for clients, including more than 25 cases that resolved in excess of $1,000,000.

Brent and Bill partner on high-stakes cases, where Brent brings an extreme attention to detail and a passion for the science and medicine behind the cases. He relishes working on the most complex matters that other firms shy away from, proving that work ethic, tenacity, and resolve run in the family.

“I’ve been fortunate to build on Bill's legacy, and I appreciate working on the intricate and demanding cases which bigger firms, focused on volume and ‘efficiencies,’ would never dare to try, and small less-experienced firms could not afford to prepare,” he says. “I don’t take that opportunity, or that responsibility, lightly.”

Brent’s passion for science and medicine strengthens the firm’s catastrophic injury and medical negligence practice, and makes him uniquely qualified to hold hospitals and other medical providers accountable. He and his wife experienced a difficult pregnancy, and Brent has specialized in birth injury cases ever since.

Being accomplished early in his career is nothing new for Brent. After graduating from law school, he litigated complex business disputes for four years at Perkins Coie, the largest law firm in the Pacific Northwest, before joining Barton Trial Attorneys in 2010 and being named partner in 2016. In 2008, he became Oregon's youngest legislator when he was elected to the Oregon House of Representatives at age 28. In his three terms in public office, he championed protections for children, seniors, and veterans, including legislation allowing consumers to hold insurance companies accountable for unfair practices.

He has been recognized repeatedly by Super Lawyers, as one of Oregon’s “Rising Stars” in the areas of personal injury and medical malpractice, since 2010.

“Brent is one of Oregon’s best lawyers. He’s taking the family practice into the next generation.”

—Dylan Richards, client

In his free time, Brent volunteers for two causes important to him: supporting local arts organizations and engaging young people in law and government. He also performs pro bono legal work to nonprofits like the Oregon Humane Society, the Children’s Trust Fund of Oregon, and the Oregon Bus Project, among others. He lives with his wife and two sons in Portland.

Nick Notas Brent Morin Justin Undateable

When I walked into the swanky Laugh Boston lounge, I was greeted by the star of NBC’s newest sitcom Undateable, Brent Morin. He looked me directly in the eyes with a huge grin and did what he does best – make jokes.

“Where do you want to sit?” he asked. Then he immediately pointed to a single chair amongst dozens and suggestively said, “Let’s share that one.” We laughed and I knew it was going to be a great interview.

Brent is spontaneous. He speaks with passion. He’s off-the-cuff and has an unmistakable energy about him. He also doesn’t write any of his material down, ever.

The stage is his outlet. And comedy is his therapy.

N: You started out as a PA (production assistant) for the Conan O’Brien show. That must have been an amazing experience. What’s the best lesson you learned from that?

B: Hard work pays off. Conan taught me the professionalism of comedy. It’s an everyday job. He puts the work in. He’s somebody who says, “we should do this” and then he’ll do it right away. He has that attitude and I watched that.

N: It’s just like in dating, you always have to be pushing forward.

B: Yeah you just have to do it! What do you have to lose? I think usually what we regret in our lives are the things we don’t do. The things we think were a big deal, weren’t. Even if we fall on our face, we realize later on that, you know what, that wasn’t a big deal. If we have the ability to say “What if?” in our mind, we’ll create things that are way more grandiose than they were in person.

So now you’re thinking, “I didn’t ask that girl out, what if she was the one?” Well she probably wasn’t the one, but you had to ask her out to find out. I’ve taken a lot of terrible risks.

N: I actually wrote an article exactly about that. Instead of always beating yourself up always asking “what if?”, go out there and find out the truth.

B: Yeah, it’s not going to hurt you that bad.

N: Standup is like dating in the way that you often have to get rejected to succeed. How have you learned to deal with that rejection, and even use it as motivation?

B: I compare it to getting punched in the face. You’re the most scared before you’ve ever gotten in a fight. The second you get hit, you realize it’s not the end of the world. You say, “that hurt, but it didn’t kill me.” It’s the same thing for standup or asking somebody out.

It gets better with age, because when you’re young or in high school, you’re in a bubble and everything is the end of the world. Not only does she turn you down, but everybody know about it.

In the real world, everybody gets turned down. Even Gosling has been turned down. It’s rare, but it happens. And once you know that, it makes it a lot easier. You got to realize that girl might say no, but who gives a shit?

You’re not really going to hurt my feelings if you turn me down, because somebody else won’t. But I had to take the shot and talk to somebody! I spent many years putting someone on a pedestal which is similar to my character in Undateable. He puts women on a pedestal and can’t talk to them, and that’s the difference between us. He’s like me when I was a teenager, and he’s going to get past that, I hope.

N: Tell me more about the premise of Undateable and your character Justin.

B: I play Justin, he’s a lovable loser – shirt tucked in, lemon drop drinking, kid who went to choral camp. He’s a one-woman kind of guy. Loves Disney movies and romantic comedies and grew up with John Hughes. He moves in with Chris D’Elia, a womanizer who can get a girl but can’t keep her because he doesn’t let himself open up emotionally.

The best way to describe the show is it’s a dysfunctional Friends, meets Cheers, meets the Odd Couple. With a touch of Big Bang because of the anti-social characters.

N: You ever think about being a dating coach? You understand people and their dynamics very well. It’s awesome.

B: I realized that in life, we always want to see the best in ourselves. It’s something we do even when we get our first roommate in college. You go, “Oh, he’s a mess.” As opposed to looking at yourself and blaming yourself for something. You learn that if you start blaming yourself, “Oh, I fucked that up. Or I’m not good at this.” — that’s when shit gets better.

Like, I realized I’m not a hot guy. I’m not a hot guy because I can’t wear a deep V t-shirt and a scarf at the same time. Jared Leto can do that shit. But knowing that about myself allows me to be like, who cares? Now I’m more confident because I’m starting to know who I am.

And to be honest with you, my dating life has been the best when I’m like that. I’m not intimidated by any girl. I’ll approach anybody, I don’t care who it is.

N: I’m sure a lot of my readers will relate to your character Justin on the show. Do you have a funny or embarrassing dating story to share?

B: Well my biggest problem is I try to be cool. When I was 17 I went out with a 22 year old dancer. She invited me to her place. I was a virgin at the time and I was like, “Oh man, I want to have sex.” I didn’t know how to open it up, though. I didn’t know if you show up naked in an oversized coat. She’d open the door and be like, “Let’s skip to dessert.” I didn’t know.

So I’m sitting there for hours not listening, just trying to figure out, “How I do open this up?” Long story short, we’re in the kitchen and I decide to make a move. I say something stupid like, “We should play house.” She says, “You wouldn’t even know what to do with me.”

So then I pick her up and put her on the kitchen counter. We start going at it and she ripped open my button-up shirt. When she did that, I yelled “My buttons!” because my buttons flew off. My initial reaction was that I was worried about my shirt because it was my dad’s shirt. And I had curfew and I didn’t want to explain the shirt.

I realized later, just let the shirt go. And all future shirt-ripping experiences. Fuck the shirt – stay late, sleep over.

N: I write a lot about how guys can be more confident and outgoing in their daily lives. Do you have any tips that have helped you in social situations?

B: Know who you are. Figure out who you are. So many people go through life and their personalities, outfits, everything changes as they grow older.

I think at a certain point, probably the mid and especially the late 20’s, is when you’re starting to figure yourself out. It’s where you really start to come into your own. You might be influenced by certain people in culture but when you start to figure out who you are – that’s the best. That’s when you can talk to anybody.

N: Exactly. Instead of thinking, “I need to impress everyone,” you should think, “who do I want to attract that likes the real me?”

B: You stop having that fear. Look, there’s no more lunchroom. There’s no more people making fun of you. You don’t have the shitty friends talking about how a girl turned you down. Who cares now!

I could go out right now and get turned down 17 times. Nobody will know about it but me. Maybe it hurts the ego a little bit, but shit happens. I could get turned down everyday, whatever. It happens to everybody. I know people who are very successful with women and you would assume their lives are amazing, and they get turned down every single day. And they just keep going. And I realized that it doesn’t matter who are you, it’s going to happen.

N: Do you have any Brent-Morin-approved tips for a first date?

B: Listening, I think, is the most important thing. Most people are trying to think of one liners. Just listen, but not fake listen. Listen, engage, and react.

I learned from a friend chivalry is not dead. The idea of opening a door for her. Not playing it too cool. Telling her she’s beautiful. Making it sexual, but not being creepy. The whole thing of saying, “god damn, you look good.” Don’t be afraid to be vulnerable in that sense. Why not tell somebody she looks good? She got dressed up because she wants to look good. Let her know.

Also, don’t brag about yourself. I hate when guys come in and puff their chest up. And they’re like, “I made a lot of money last year.” It’s like, “nobody gives a shit.”

N: I agree. I teach a lot of guys to be direct while being a gentleman. I believe in being forward and expressing your intentions.

B: My friends will be saying, “I think I’m in the friend zone with this girl.” And it’s because in the first conversation you didn’t let her know that you don’t want to be friends. Showing, “I’m sexually attracted to you. Do you have a boyfriend?” In some realm of the conversation.

You shouldn’t be like, “We should see a movie!” without any intention. Yes, it’s a nerve-wracking experience but just let her know, “god damn it, you look good.”

N: Man, you’re nothing like Justin.

B: [laughs] Yeah, that’s what Bill Lawrence says.

N: So tell us about your Laugh Boston show, what do you have in store for the audience?

B: You’re going to get an inside look at me. I’m a very energetic comic, I’m not a standstill guy. It’s more of a storytelling type of thing. Trust me, you’ll tell I did the freakin’ work. It’ll be a really awesome night.

N: How can fans stay connected with you?

Mostly Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook. I’m very interactive with fans. I’m working on a website right now, too.

What Are People Saying?

– Brent Comes Off Likable And Easy To Learn From

Most guys have noted how much they love how Brent comes off as simply a genuine guy. Most male dating coaches are either arrogant or strangely annoying. They come off almost not believing what they have to say that they feel the need to throw it down your throats what they believe. Guys are enjoying how Brent is an easy guy to learn from considering he has his own story to share.

– User-Friendly With Different Approaches

Brent gives you a variety of approaches for different situations. The way you meet someone isn’t always going to be the same, so this program dives in to how to be prepared for all kinds of situations. Users are loving how there is no set script to follow. Brent teaches you a powerful way of being the best version of yourself, and it works because you will simply be yourself.

– New Age Approach

Brent really follows a very new-age approach to dealing with your confidence. Most products go straight to forcing guys to be, “confident.” In reality, simply saying it is not going to make a difference. Brent gives you a very modern way of approaching your self-esteem issues.

– Subconscious Reprogramming

If you struggle with confidence and you have a low self esteem, Brent is going to give you a solid system to follow that works on your subconscious mind. Everything from affirmations to internal changes you can make so you have more courage and self belief is included to guide you and work from within. He deals with your inner issues and subconscious so you can truly meet women with a strong confident head on your shoulders.

– Easy To Follow Guide

Attract Hotter Women is a very easy to follow guide. It doesn’t require much work to digest the information. Brent decided to use some very simple language throughout the guide so that guys have an easy time understanding all of his concepts and ideas. You get step by step information so that you build confidence and courage to work up towards meeting women anywhere. Whether it’s at the club or the local national park, approaching women operates in a similar way.

Are There Any Cons of Attract Hotter Women?

The only problem most guys realize is that this program is just a program; not a magic pill. It’s not a potion you can buy that means every girl you speak to is going to fall for you. Depending on your skill level and how far you go with the techniques inside, you may have to go through some trial and error to truly learn how to speak to women. It’s vital that you go through the training and work on yourself first above anything.

Most users believe that Attract Hotter Women sometimes can make fun of other types of courses on this same subject. Brent may make comments about why other methods don’t work, but the truth is that every strategy is different. When you purchase this guide, take it all with a grain of salt with what he says about other products. He just loves to make sure you know his product is one of the best on the market, and it definitely does deliver results.

The information may also be easy to read which can be a problem for some people because it can come off as too casual. The product in itself still gives you solid information that gives you all the knowledge you need, so this shouldn’t be a problem if you want an easy read.

The Verdict

If you want a product that delivers solid results and will educate you on the best ways to attract women, this product can give you the information you need. Brent Smith knows his stuff when it comes down to women. Approaching them with confidence, starting conversations, developing mindset, and everything in between will be taught to you in an easy format. You will gain access to a multitude of different guides in Attract Hotter Women. There’s even a guide that focuses primarily on getting laid so that you can have the fun you want to have.

The verdict is in. Attract Hotter Women is definitely worth the investment for any guy. You will gain the best insight that can enable you to create effortless conversations that can lead to deeper conversation, dates, hooking up, and potentially marriage. Of the multiple products that Brent Smith has created over the last decade, there is no doubt this specific product stands out as one of the best that he has created.

Building your social media marketing strategy for 2022

Looking to fine-tune your social media marketing strategy for 2022?

Good! Now’s the perfect time to make it happen.

In a landscape with more competition, content and networks than ever, a succinct strategy gives you the focus needed to say “no” to efforts that don’t serve your goals.

That’s why we put together a comprehensive guide to creating a social media marketing plan from scratch.

Whether you’re totally new to social or want to double-check your priorities in 2022, this guide has you covered.

    1. Set goals that make sense for your business
    2. Take time to research your target audience
    3. Establish your most important metrics and KPIs
    4. Create (and curate) engaging social content
    5. Make your social presence as timely as possible
    6. Assess what’s working, what isn’t and how to keep improving
    7. Bring other departments into the mix

1. Set goals that make sense for your business

Let’s kick things off with a quick question:

“What do you want from social media, anyway?”

Social media strategy planning starts with your goals.

According to the 2021 Sprout Social Index™, the most common goals for social are increasing brand awareness (58%) and increasing community engagement (41%). Whether you want to build a larger following or a more active community, taking the time to define your social goals is the first step to reaching them.

Either way, your goals will define your social media marketing strategy and how much time and energy you’ll need to dedicate to your campaigns.

Sample social media goals for 2022 and beyond

What really matters is that you set realistic social media goals.

Emphasis on “realistic,” by the way. We recommend tackling smaller objectives that allow you to scale your social efforts in a way that’s both reasonable and affordable.

Below are some sample goals that businesses of all shapes and sizes can pursue.

Increase brand awareness. This means getting your name out there. To create authentic and lasting brand awareness, avoid solely publishing promotional messages. Instead, focus on content that emphasizes your personality and values first.

Generate leads and sales. Whether online, in-store or directly through your social profiles, followers don’t make purchases by accident.  For example, are you about alerting customers about new products and promos? Are you integrating your product catalog into your social profiles? Are you running exclusive deals for followers?

Grow your brand’s audience. Bringing new followers into the fold means finding ways to introduce your brand to folks who haven’t heard of you before.

Growing your audience also means discovering conversations around your business and industry that matter the most. Digging through your social channels is nearly impossible without monitoring or listening for specific keywords, phrases or hashtags. Having a pulse on these conversations helps you expand your core audience (and reach adjacent audiences) much faster.

Boost community engagement. Index data shows that 46% of consumers think brands that engage their audience are best in class on social, so it pays to explore new ways to grab the attention of your current followers.  This means experimenting with messaging and content. For example, does your brand promote user-generated content and hashtags?

Even something as simple as asking a question can increase your engagement rate. Your customers can be your best cheerleaders, but only if you’re giving them something to do.

Drive traffic to your site. Simple enough. If you’re laser-focused on generating leads or traffic to your website, social media can make it happen. Whether through promotional posts or social ads, keeping an eye on conversions and URL clicks can help you better determine your ROI from social media.

Any combination of these goals is fair game and can help you better understand which networks to tackle, too. When in doubt, keep your social media marketing strategy simple rather than complicating it with too many objectives that might distract you. Pick one or two and rally your team around them.

2. Take time to research your target audience

Making assumptions is bad news for marketers.

Only 55% of marketers use social data to better understand their target audience, making it a huge opportunity for both leaders and practitioners. Much of what you need to know about your audience to influence your social media marketing strategy is already available. You just have to know where to look.

With the right tool, marketers can quickly research their audience. No formal market research or data science chops necessary.

Remember: different platforms attract different audiences

Take today’s social media demographics, for example. These numbers speak directly to which networks your brand should approach and what types of content to publish. Here are some key takeaways for your 2022 social media marketing strategy:

  • Facebook and YouTube are both prime places for ads due in part to their high-earning user bases.
  • The top social networks among Millennials and Gen Z are Instagram and YouTube, signaling the strength of bold, eye-popping content that oozes with personality.
  • Women vastly outnumber men on Pinterest, which is noted to boast the highest average order value for social shoppers.
  • LinkedIn’s user base is well-educated, making it a hub for in-depth, industry-specific content that might be more niche than what you see on Facebook or Twitter.

Don’t spread yourself too thin. Instead, focus on networks where your core audience is already active.

Do your homework on your existing social media audience

Although the demographic data above gives you insight into each channel, what about your own customers? Further analysis needs to be done before you can determine what your real-world social customers actually look like.

That’s why many brands use a social media dashboard that provides an overview of who’s following you and how they interact with you on each channel.

Sprout’s analytics dashboard puts your audience demographics front and center. It also highlights which social networks are seeing the most activity, helping you ensure you spend your time on the right networks.

With Sprout’s Group Report, you can view Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and Pinterest data side-by-side in a customizable format that’s exportable by date range and profile.

Sprout's cross channel group report helps you compare profile performance across network side by side.

There’s plenty of other sources of valuable audience data to supplement your social media insights. This includes your Google and email analytics, your CRM, your customer service platform or even your best-selling products.

All of the above will ultimately influence everything from your marketing messaging to how you’ll approach customer service or social commerce.

3. Establish your most important metrics and KPIs

No matter your goals or industry, your social media strategy should be data-driven.

That means focusing on the social media metrics that matter. Rather than focus on vanity metrics,  dig into data that aligns directly with your goals.

What metrics are we talking about? Check out the breakdown below:

  • Reach. Post reach is the number of unique users who saw your post. How much of your content actually reaches users’ feeds?
  • Clicks. This is the number of clicks on your content or account. Tracking clicks per campaign is essential to understand what drives curiosity or encourages people to buy.
  • Engagement. The total number of social interactions divided by the number of impressions. This sheds light on how well your audience perceives you and their willingness to interact.
  • Hashtag performance. What were your most-used hashtags? Which hashtags were most associated with your brand? Having these answers can help shape the focus of your content going forward.
Sprout's Twitter Trend report shows which hashtags are most associated with your brand.
  • Organic and paid likes: Beyond a standard Like count, these interactions are attributed to paid or organic content. Given how much harder organic engagement is to gain, many brands turn to ads. Knowing these differences can help you budget both your ad spend and the time you invest in different formats.
  • Sentiment. This is the measurement of how users react to your content, brand or hashtag. Did customers find your recent campaign offensive? What type of sentiment do people associate with your campaign hashtag? It’s always better to dig deeper and find out how people talk or feel about your brand.
Sprout's Sentiment Analysis tool helps marketers better understand audience sentiment on topics of their choice.

An effective social media marketing strategy is rooted in numbers. That said, those numbers need to be put into a context that aligns with your original goals.

4. Create (and curate) engaging social content

No surprises here. Your social media marketing strategy hinges on your content.

At this point, you should have a pretty good idea of what to publish based on your goals, audience and brand identity. You probably feel confident in which networks to cover, too.

But what about your content strategy? Below are some ideas and inspiration that can help.

The importance of sticking to content themes

Chances are you’ve seen a post from a particular brand that just feels like, well, theirs.

The quippy, casual tone that makes Discord’s Twitter presence beloved by casual users and moderators alike are a great example.

Discord's Twitter feed.

From graphics to Reels and beyond, many brands rely on the same content formats and creative touches time and again. These themes can help you become more consistent and zero in on a content strategy that makes sense.

For example, you might cycle between memes, product photos and user-generated content while sticking to a defined color scheme. If you’re struggling to keep up with all these sources of social content, consider social media management tools that help you organize your media library and schedule your posts in advance.

Content ideas for social media marketing in 2022

To help narrow down the specifics of what you should be publishing and make sure you’re developing innovative content, here are some social media trends to consider.

Stories and time-sensitive posts

Stories aren’t going anywhere. Tapping into your followers’ FOMO (fear of missing out), Stories-style content is both interactive and can’t-miss. Popping up first in your followers’ feeds by default, this content can help your brand’s account “skip the line” and stay fresh in your audience’s minds.

Stories are especially valuable for taking your followers behind-the-scenes and making your social feed feel more personal. For example, consider how you can use Stories to cover an event or take your followers on a journey without them having to leave the comfort of the ‘gram.

Short-form video

Fifty-four percent of marketers say that video is the most valuable content type for achieving social goals, and for good reason. Social video is booming, especially with the rise of TikTok and  Instagram Reels. Both long-form and short-form productions continue to dominate the social space across all platforms due to their high engagement rate.

The top five types of content content marketers say are most valuable for social goals: video, images, text based posts, stories and live video.

Plus, thanks to advancements in DIY and remote video production, you don’t need a massive video production budget to be successful. All you need is a laptop or smartphone and a few tricks of the trade.

Posts that show off your human side

Particularly important as we (eventually) come out of COVID-19, both personal and personable content should be a cornerstone of your social media marketing strategy. Don’t be afraid to remind followers of the humans behind your posts.

Pro-tip: conduct a competitive analysis to help your content stand out

Before you start creating content, you should have a good idea of what your competitors are up to.

While some brands might want to look into third-party competitor analysis tools to dig deeper into their competitors’ numbers, you can learn a lot from a simple review of competitors’ social presence.

The simplest way to find competitors is through a Google search. Look up your most valuable keywords, phrases and industry terms to see who shows up.

Then, see how their social channels compare to your own promotion strategy. The goal here isn’t to copycat or steal your competitors’ ideas. No two companies’ social media marketing strategies can be (or should be) the same. Instead, determine what’s working for them and what conclusions you can draw to adapt your own campaigns accordingly.

After identifying some of your industry rivals, you can use competitive analysis tools such as those found in Sprout to quickly compare competitor performance to your own.

See what they’re posting on Facebook. Contrast your Twitter engagement with theirs. Find out how they’re tagging their content on Instagram. Optimize your own strategy. Rinse and repeat.

You can also go a step further using Sprout’s Advanced Listening. Using social listening, you can spotlight unfiltered consumer feedback regarding competitors, as well as their products and services.

You get the added bonus of discovering honest conversations about your brand you may have otherwise missed.

Sprout's Instagram Competitors report shows how your performance stacks up against your most important competitors.

5. Make your social presence as timely as possible

Timeliness is arguably more important than ever for marketers.

Not only are you expected to put out fresh content on a regular basis, but also always be “on” for your followers.

But you can’t always expect customers to operate on your clock. Timeliness is a tall order when you’re strapped for resources or are part of a small team.

Let’s look at some ideas to maximize your schedule and your time spent on social.

Post at the best times to engage

Quick question: when is your brand available to engage and interact with customers?

You might see some recommended times to post late in the evening, for example. But if your team isn’t there to communicate, what’s the point of posting at the “preferred” time?

Instead, try to ensure your social media or community managers are available and ready to answer any product questions or concerns when you Tweet or post. Take time to review the best times to post on social media. However, it’s just as critical to engage after posting.

And that leads us to our next point.

Respond to your customer questions and shout-outs ASAP

Your customers want speedy responses. In fact, 47% believe that strong customer service defines a best-in-class brand on social.

What makes a brand best in class on social to marketers and consumers.

Your brand can’t forget these core elements of community building. It takes effort to ensure conversations or engagement opportunities aren’t left unattended.

On social media, you gain respect as a brand by being present and talking to your audience. That’s why social customer care is so important to brands wanting to increase audience awareness—word travels fast about great service.

Whether it’s capitalizing on a compliment or responding to a question, businesses shouldn’t leave customers hanging. According to our research, social is consumers’ #1 preferred channel for sharing feedback and reaching out with a service issue or question. But did you know that most users believe brands should respond to social media messages within four hours?

Designating teams to specific response tasks can help your staff run like a well-oiled social media team, whether you’re a group of one or 100.

As social algorithms evolve, organic content has an increasingly tough time reaching the majority of your audience. The last thing you want to do is ignore those who do engage and lose out on sending more down your marketing funnel.

6. Assess what’s working, what isn’t and how to keep improving

By now you should have a big-picture understanding of your social media strategy.

However, it’s important that you’re able to adapt your strategy throughout the year.

Without continuously analyzing your efforts, you’ll never know how one campaign did over another. Having a bird’s eye view of your social media activity helps put things into perspective. This means looking at your top-performing content and adjusting your campaigns when your content stalls.

There’s no denying that a lot of social media is a matter of trial-and-error. Monitoring the metrics behind your campaigns in real-time allows you to make small tweaks to your social media marketing strategy rather than sweeping, time-consuming changes.

So much of social media marketing right starts by being diligent about your data. You can be reactive in the short term to get the most out of your running campaigns, and then proactively use these takeaways to inform your next strategy overhaul.

Reporting on data is also important for the sake of sharing valuable insights from social with your coworkers and colleagues.

Data from the Sprout Social Index™ notes that only 15% of marketers use social data to measure ROI. Including this information in regular reports not only holds you accountable for your efforts, but also highlights the impact and bottom-line results your social strategy produces.

Based on your data, you can better assess whether your KPIs truly ladder up to your overarching company goals or whether they need to change.

7. Bring other departments into the mix

Social media teams have a unique advantage when it comes to understanding customer sentiment. You’re the eyes and ears for your brand online. Those insights can do more than just inform marketing strategy. They can transform your business.

Still, according to Index data, only 39% of marketers use social data to support other departments.

Everything you need to know about social media algorithms

Ah, social media algorithms.

For some marketers, they’re like little data puzzles just waiting to be solved.

But if you’re like most businesses trying to tackle social media, they’re a sort of boogeyman. The great “unknown” that’s holding your content down.

Algorithms might seem helpful and mostly harmless to the average social customer, helping sift through content and deliver only “relevant” content rather than random posts.

However, marketers that don’t fully understand what algorithms are or how they work will find themselves facing a constant struggle.

The good news? Social algorithms aren’t as mysterious or spiteful as you might think.

In this guide, we’ll break down everything you need to know about social media algorithms and how to rise above them to show up in more people’s feeds.

What are social media algorithms, anyway?

Let’s kick things off with a kitchen table social media algorithm definition.

Social media algorithms are a way of sorting posts in a users’ feed based on relevancy instead of publish time.

Social networks prioritize which content a user sees in their feed first by the likelihood that they’ll actually want to see it.

Before the switch to algorithms, most social media feeds displayed posts in reverse chronological order. In short, the newest posts from accounts a user followed showed up first. This is still an option on Twitter to set your feed to chronological order…

Twitter feed settings

…and the same rings true on Facebook.

Facebook chronological feed

By default, social media algorithms take the reins of determining which content to deliver to you based on your behavior.

For example, Facebook or Twitter might put posts from your closest friends and family front-and-center in your feed because those are the accounts you interact with most often.

Chances are you’ve been recommended videos to watch on YouTube, right? This is again based on your individual behavior, digging into what you’ve watched in the past and what users like yourself are watching. Elements such as categories, #tags and keywords also factor into recommended content on any given network.

YouTube recommended feed

Why are social media algorithms so controversial?

This all probably seems straightforward so far. What’s the big deal about algorithms, then?

Well, much of the reason why algorithms are so controversial is because of their impact on reach.

Spoiler alert: algorithms aren’t necessarily perfect. Not by a long shot.

There are plenty of instances of algorithms seemingly “hiding” content on Facebook at random despite being optimized to a T. On the flip side, there’s a well-documented phenomenon on YouTube of videos surging to millions of views out of nowhere after being recommended to seemingly random viewers.

YouTube algorithm

Oh, and algorithms are constantly evolving, attempting to work out the kinks and provide the best user experience possible. As a result, marketers have to consistently adapt to ’em. This means consistently experimenting with content and changing up marketing strategies.

Learn more about each network algorithm

Looking for specific tips to find out your way around a given network’s algorithm? We have you covered with these guides.

Or read on to learn more about the ins and outs of how they work across the social space.

Why do social media algorithms exist?

There is a ton of content floating around in the social space. Like, thousands of posts, photos and videos published per minute.

social media content publisher per second

Without social media algorithms, sifting through all of this content on an account-by-account basis would be impossible. Especially for users following hundreds or thousands of accounts on a network, so algorithms do the legwork of delivering what you want and weeding out content that’s deemed irrelevant or low-quality.

In theory, that is.

There’s also the belief that social media algorithms exist to push brands to pay a premium for social ads. The belief is that if brands can’t reach their audience organically, they’ll turn to ads instead. Obviously, this means more money for social networks.

This point-of-view might seem cynical or even paranoid, but social marketers know that changes in how social media algorithms prioritize paid and organic content can have a huge impact.

Regardless of why social media algorithms exist, the fact remains that they aren’t going anywhere. For brands, this means learning what algorithms “want” and likewise what might cause content to be viewed as low-quality or irrelevant to their audience.

How do social media algorithms work?

Algorithms are as simple as they are complicated.

Sure, the function of an algorithm is to deliver relevant content to users.

But under the hood, algorithms involve machine learning and data science. They’re capable of parsing data and ranking posts based on criteria that, quite honestly, the average marketer will probably never truly understand.

That said, algorithms aren’t giant question marks, though.

Sometimes networks are transparent about what’ll help content rank and be seen as high-quality on their platform.

Take the recent Facebook algorithm changes, for example. Facebook explicitly laid out some ground rules for accounts looking to stay in their algorithm’s good graces: prioritize meaningful conversations over transactions, stop engagement baiting and publish more native video content.

Earlier this year, Instagram clarified some points about their algorithm as users continue to call for a chronological order feature.

Networks are traditionally vague about the specifics of their algorithm and understandably so.

However, through experimentation and trial-and-error we can sniff out changes to any given algorithm. For example, some marketers suspect that the Instagram algorithm is starting to crack down on brands that are too explicit about social selling and transaction-specific posts.

Determining how algorithms work requires both experimenting firsthand and listening to what networks are saying themselves. It can be a tedious process, but a necessary one.

How to decode (and outsmart) social media algorithms

Marketers often look at social media algorithms as roadblocks.

But rather than try to fight with algorithms, it’s more prudent to understand how to craft the sorts of posts that algorithms want to see.

Between trial-and-error and what we know about the current crop of social media algorithms, there are actionable steps marketers can take to optimize their posts. The key is finding a balance between what an algorithm wants and creating compelling content for your audience.

Although no two algorithms are the same, here are some general algorithm-outsmarting strategies that work across all social channels.

Ask questions and encourage comments from your audience

For starters, social media algorithms treat engagement (think: likes, comments and shares) as a sort of snowball effect.

That is, the more engagement a piece of content gets, the more likely it is to be rewarded by the algorithm.

Perhaps one of the easiest ways to encourage engagement is by asking questions of your followers. Serving as a sort of call-to-action, question-based posts are an easy way to encourage interactions and connect with your audience at the same time.

https://twitter.com/glossier/status/1159949024805490696

Tag other accounts in your posts

Simply put, tagging other accounts serves as a sort of invitation for other users to check out and hopefully share your content. If you’re mentioning another business, brand or customer, make sure you tag their account accordingly.

This same logic can be applied to tag-a-friend posts where followers are invited to tag friends-and-family in response to a question or comment. These types of posts should be used sparingly so they’re not treated as engagement bait, but are especially useful for major promotions such as giveaways.

Tack on the right hashtags

Hashtags essentially make your content searchable and therefore extend a post’s reach by attaching it to a category. As far as social algorithms go, hashtags assign a category to your piece of content to make it more likely to appear to users interested in that tag.

There’s plenty of debate in regards to what’s “optimal” in terms of tags, but you can check out our guide to hashtag analytics to learn more. As a rule of thumb, tacking on a tag or two is fair game across all networks for the sake of categorizing your content and campaigns.

Optimize your post timing to encourage engagement

Remember what we said earlier about the snowball effect of engagement?

Timing is a huge factor in determining how much engagement any piece of content gets. For example, posting when your audience is most likely to be active means that your posts are more likely to be seen and replied to.

Based on our research, the best times to post on social media vary from network to network. That said, there’s no denying that timing has a significant impact on engagement rate.

2021 Facebook overall best times to post

To ensure that you’re tapping into these times, a third-party social scheduling tool like Sprout is a must-have. Additionally, Sprout features such as ViralPost automatically hone in on posting times that’ll result in maximum reach and engagement.

Sprout optimal send times with ViralPost

Figure out your publishing frequency

No matter what network you’re publishing to, you should strive to be an “active” participant.

In other words, social media algorithms tend to reward accounts that post on a frequent basis rather than every now and then.

This is why it’s important to come up with a content calendar that allows you to regularly post to each respective network. You can likewise cross-post your content across networks (think: Facebook, Instagram and Twitter) to squeeze more out of your content creation efforts.

In many cases, it makes sense to cross-post your content to squeeze more out of your creation. For example, check out how Vegemite takes this post on Instagram…

…and “double-dips” it on Facebook where it gets even more engagement.

Cross-posting content allows you to squeeze more out of your content creation efforts

Tools such as Sprout’s social publishing suite make it a cinch to schedule and fine-tune your content across all social networks in one place.

Sprout's suite of publishing tools makes it easy for teams big and small to schedule content and stay organized.

Publish more video content across all networks

As a growing trend, all networks’ algorithms reward native video content (think: video published to that platform, not an external link).

Whether it’s a Vine-style looping video or a mini-commercial for your business, any type of video is fair game. Facebook has been explicit about the need for brands to produce video, as has the Twitter algorithm.

Mind how you present your links and craft your captions

Very rarely will you see posts promoting a link and nothing more score much engagement.

There’s a reason for that. Social media algorithms don’t want to see accounts just drop links and walk away: doing so is spammy.

Instead, it pays to provide context to your links and promotions. Rather than be purely transaction, spice up your captions with some commentary or even some humor. Meanwhile, let your link serve as your call-to-action.

Use links for a more subtle call to action that still helps visitors find what they're looking for.

As a side note, try to tone down transactional terms (think: “BUY NOW”) which could potentially flag your posts as being too salesy. There’s nothing wrong with promoting products or sales via social, but how you package them to your followers matters for the sake of reach.

When in doubt, experiment with different types of content

With few exceptions, posting the exact same types of content over and over will cause your followers’ interest and engagement to drop.

To keep followers on their toes and ensure you’re staying in the good graces of any given algorithm, experiment with different types of content.

For example, see how the following types of content stack up against each other:

  • Image-based posts versus text-based posts
  • Long-form versus short-form videos
  • Content with links versus content without links
  • Posts with one hashtag versus posts with multiple hashtags

Experimenting first hand can give you the most insight in regards to what performs well and what doesn’t.

And on that note…

Measure your social media performance via analytics

Without analytics, it’s impossible to know how the various social media algorithms are treating your content.

Tools such as Sprout can clue you in on clear connections between your top-performing posts and each social network. Spotting trends and spikes in engagement, you can determine for yourself what to post (or not) based on your engagement rate. The more data you’re able to gather, the better.

Compare performance across all connected accounts using Sprout's Group Report.

And with that, we wrap up our guide!

Do you know how to rise above social media algorithms?

Love ’em or hate ’em, social algorithms are here to stay.

But knowing what algorithms are and how they work is crucial for growing your social presence long-term. Anything you can do to stay in the good graces of each network’s algorithm is a plus.

With these tips and tools like Sprout Social, doing so doesn’t have to feel like an uphill battle. Try out our content mix worksheet to help plan social content that keeps you ahead of algorithm changes.

the jena viviano

Today we’re changing things up to talk about personal things and not work...because I am t-minus 3 days from getting married!!! I’ve gotten a lot of questions on Instagram and LinkedIn about my story of meeting Brent, how I’ve gone from single as a pringle to about to get married, and how I’ve navigated singleness, dating, and engagement as a career woman. So I invited my sweetie Brent onto the podcast episode today so we can share our story together! Work and LinkedIn are a part of our dating and engagement story. We’re answering your questions and sharing some advice from our own lives of singleness and dating.

How did we Meet?

There’s some dispute as to whether it was divine intervention or dumb luck, but we definitely agree that we didn’t meet a minute too soon or a minute too late.

We met via a friend of ours. Brent had been in a Bible study with him and Jena was in a class with him. This friend was a great lookout for helping Brent be intentional about taking action to meet someone, setting himself up for success. He gave Brent a book called How to Get a Date Worth Keeping – which I read too, and Team Viviano are all big fans of. It gives some great advice on how to “get your numbers up” for dating, amongst other things.

“I always was so honored and felt like it was the most thoughtful thing in the world when one of my buddies or their wives would set me up with somebody. It’s the highest form of compliment. It’s so easy not to do that, and no one needs to do that. It always meant a lot to me over the years.” –Brent Dunay

Both of us had not great dates the night before this friend connected the dots to set us up. The night before!

I was in a faith and work class and shared at the end that I was “Now taking applications for Mr. Viviano”– and our mutual friend thought of Brent based on the pictures I shared. He told me some info about him (tall, loves Jesus, from Pittsburgh – maybe not the best recommendations t first!). And so the setup began...

Our Dating Story

After our first date, I had a bit of a meltdown because it took Brent a little while to get back to me. But then we went on a great second date...and then I started falling for him. And Brent knew he was very interested. We had activities to do and great conversation in the midst. Brent wanted to know a lot more and to share a lot more after that date...so he kept asking me out!

We were both showing up in our lives. I was in a faith and work class that I heard about from my old boss at the NYSE. God was working behind the scenes all the way back then!

“You’re Too Intimidating” – Truth or Not?

So many men over the years have said to me, “You’re too intimidating.” Even family members have said things like, “You’re too ambitious.” UGH. If I had a dollar for every time….!

When I asked Brent if he found me intimidating, he immediately said, “No!” When we first met, he didn’t know what I did for work for awhile and he didn’t care a ton. It was important to him in the sense that I cared about it, was driven, and stood on my own two feet. But not beyond that. Which was such an incredible change!

Brent has taught me to hold my career in its proper place. He excels and achieves at his work, but he keeps work in its proper place by thinking of it as a piece of the pie rather than the thing that comes first.

To a woman who’s been called intimidating, Brent’s advice is:

The right guy is not going to care. Anybody who is secure in themself isn’t going to be intimidated by what someone else does for work.

Don’t change yourself to appease other people.

Why would you change who you are to get more dates or find someone else? It isn’t going to end well.

Don’t overcomplicate it and don’t try to change yourself or make yourself less, friends! Be your ambitious, all-out gal self!

After Being Single So Long, What’s Surprised You?

It was fast for us, knowing we wanted to marry each other within the first few months. A year and a half in, the love is deeper and we’re both still works in progress. We were in the appropriate places spiritually, mentally, professionally, etc. to meet our person. But we’re not done or perfect – we have a lot of growth to go. And after time, the initial shine wore off and we’ve seen more of where we love each other and where we have to grow.

How We Got Engaged

Brent wanted to propose months before he actually did! There were a lot of reasons for it, and he bided his time well.

My ring is from Walton’s and it was kind of a miracle of how we got it. Brent shares the full story on that – it was a lot of fun. If you’re looking for jewelry in Franklin, we LOVE Walton’s!!

Brent also shares the story of asking my dad for his blessing – and it’s pretty hilarious! The timing and the nerves and the whole thing is great.

Then entered LinkedIn. My sister and Brent colluded on engagement plans, and Moriah convinced me to go to lunch and help work on her LinkedIn profile. Which proved a great distraction! Although I definitely was suspicious. And Brent got it all decked out and played a really special song that means a ton to me, a note, flowers, candles, the whole thing! And a surprise party to boot!

What Are We Most Excited For About Marriage?

Living in the same place! And getting through the constant “to do” list of combining our lives. We’re both excited about quality time together during my sabbatical and getting our life together started! We’ll have a home together, all our things in one place, a routine of life together. So exciting! And I am super pumped for doing life together – good and bad, for better or worse, team building together!

What Do We Want Our Marriage to Be Known For?

This is a question we were asked in premarital counseling and I think it’s such great question. I don’t want us to be known for all the things – that would set us up for failure. I (Jena) want us to be known for our communication. That we’re good communicators with one another and with ourselves. And I want us to be known for our hospitality. That our doors will be open and our home open for our people.

Brent wants our marriage to be known for communication and the willingness to be open-handed and open-minded. That we would be open, willing to change our minds, humble, and flexible.

What is The Craziest Thing About Getting Married in the Middle of a Pandemic?

Here we are in month...who knows?! The first couple months were tough – everything kept changing, everything got flipped on its head, and we couldn’t make any decisions. When we finally made the decision to postpone our wedding, there was so much freedom!

But also...we just figured out in the last few weeks where we’re having our ceremony and dinner. And for all we know, the dinner location could change too! I feel like in the grand scheme of things, we’ve handled it well. But it has been a lot.

Encouragement for the Singles

Brent says it was super healthy for him to find a place of being okay being single, to be content in the season he was in, present and content. That set him up for a healthy place when he met Jena.

He also said it’s good to work your dating muscle. Go on lots of dates – going on first dates and second dates with lots of people helps you feel way more comfortable in general. Practice meeting new people, get over the shine and nerves of a first date, and be more comfortable with the whole process of dating. I second this as well. It helps normalize going on dates – and it normalizes rejection too! It helped me be able to show up as who I am, truly and fully and comfortably.

Ladies, I’d encourage you to let a man pursue you! Men, pursue the women you’re interested in. It was really important to me and I’m so thankful Brent did that! Brent’s encouragement is to look at previous situations to see what’s worked and hasn’t in past relationships.

Remember: there ARE good guys out there! Keep living your life, rocking your career, and holding onto hope.

the jena viviano

Today we’re changing things up to talk about personal things and not work.because I am t-minus 3 days from getting married!!! I’ve best dating advice for men brent a lot of questions on Instagram and LinkedIn about my story of meeting Brent, how I’ve gone from single as a pringle to about to get married, and how I’ve navigated singleness, dating, and engagement as a career woman.

It’s so easy not to do that, and no best dating advice for men brent needs to do that. It always meant a lot to me over the years.” –Brent Dunay

Both of us had not great dates the night before this friend connected the dots to set us best dating advice for men brent.

And so the setup began.

Our Dating Story

After our first date, I had a bit of a meltdown because it took Brent a little while to get back to me. But then we went on a great second date.and then I started falling for him. And Brent knew he was very interested. We had activities to do and great conversation in the midst. Brent wanted to know a lot more and to share a lot more after that date.so he kept asking me out!

We were both showing up in our lives. I was in a faith and work class that I heard best dating advice for men brent from my old boss at the NYSE.

We were is talking to women on dating app cheating the appropriate places spiritually, mentally, professionally, best dating advice for men brent, etc. to meet our person.

And I am super pumped for doing life best dating advice for men brent – good and bad, for better or worse, team building together!

What Do We Want Our Marriage to Be Known For?

This is a question we were asked in premarital counseling and I think it’s such great question. I don’t want us to be known for all the things – that would set us up for failure. I (Jena) want us to be known for our communication, best dating advice for men brent.

Here we are in month.who knows?! The first couple months were tough – everything kept changing, everything got flipped on its head, and we couldn’t make any decisions. When we finally made the decision to postpone our wedding, there was so much freedom!

But also.we just figured out in the last few weeks where we’re having our ceremony and dinner.

“Where do you want to sit?” he asked, best dating advice for men brent. Then he immediately pointed to a single chair amongst dozens and suggestively said, “Let’s share that one.” We laughed and I best dating advice for men brent it was going to be a great interview.

It’s best dating site portland 40 something everyday job.

Even Gosling has been turned down, best dating advice for men brent.

B: I play Justin, he’s a lovable loser – shirt tucked in, lemon drop drinking, kid who went to choral best dating advice for men brent. He’s a one-woman kind of guy. Loves Disney movies and romantic comedies and grew up with John Hughes. He moves in with Best dating advice for men brent D’Elia, a womanizer who can get a girl but can’t keep her because he doesn’t let himself open up emotionally.

You learn that if you start blaming yourself, best dating advice for men brent, “Oh, I fucked that up. Or I’m not good at this.” — that’s when shit gets better.

Like, I realized I’m not a hot guy. I’m not a hot guy because I can’t wear a deep V t-shirt and a scarf at the same time. Jared Leto can do that best dating advice for men brent.

N: Exactly. Instead of thinking, “I need to impress everyone,” you should think, “who do I want things to say online dating attract that likes the real me?”

B: My friends will be saying, best dating advice for men brent, “I think I’m in the friend zone with this girl.” And it’s because in the first conversation you didn’t let her know that you don’t want to be friends. Showing, “I’m sexually attracted to you. Do you have a boyfriend?” In some realm of the conversation.

You shouldn’t be like, best dating advice for men brent, “We should see a movie!” without any intention.

Trust me, you’ll tell I did the freakin’ work, best dating advice for men brent. It’ll be a really awesome night.

How to Have the Perfect, Martini-filled Valentine's Day, According to Designers Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent

Designers Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent are in for an interesting Valentine's Day — but that's nothing new for the stylish pair. The couple, who married in 2014 after getting engaged at the top of Peru's Machu Picchu in 2013, have opposite takes on Cupid's biggest day. "I love me some Valentine's Day," Brent told Travel + Leisure. For Berkus, "It's just not my holiday."

Just because the two fall on different ends of the Valentine's spectrum, however, doesn't mean there aren't special memories for egypt using dating apps to trap gay people couple. "I think I can speak for both of us," said Berkus, "that our absolute favorite memory of Valentine's Day has nothing to do with either of us, but it was last year when our daughter, Poppy, who's six now, was old enough to realize that she could create her own handmade Valentines for everyone else in her school." Now, best dating advice for men brent, according to the couple, almost everything is viewed through the perspective of their two young kids.

But that doesn't mean the designer duo doesn't set aside time for just themselves. "Nate and I are very good at anchoring everything around our relationship," said Brent. "You know, we make a date night in the house, you set the table, light the candles, sit down, just talk — you don't just sit there and zone out at Netflix."

Celebrating a special occasion or not, according to Berkus, home date nights can be made extra special by pulling out "the good dishes and glassware" — even for takeout — and pairing them with a great cocktail. Their suggestion? A classic Tanqueray martini (recipe below) with the classic gin's "bright, bright flavor" and a simple lemon twist. "There's something really beautiful about Tanqueray London Dry," said Berkus,

For the designers and HGTV stars, a gorgeous green bottle of Tanqueray deserves an equally stunning bar cart home. "One of our overriding design philosophies is that our home should feel personal, layered, and storied," Berkus explained, which is why their bar cart is adorned with travel mementos like ceremonial cups and silver spoons found in Peru. "It's another opportunity to kind of add little objects and items that are practical, but also really beautiful."

Another sentimental item you'll find throughout their home: handwritten notes, one way the couple discreetly shares their affection. "The best gift that Nate can give me, even after being together for almost 10 years now, is a beautiful handwritten note," Brent dished, adding he keeps them visible on his bedside table and bathroom. "The biggest luxury to Nate and I is the opportunity to make something personal."

Like the rest of us, the designers have spent plenty of time at home during the pandemic daydreaming about future travels and adventures, with Portugal and warm beaches front of mind. "[We're] desperate for a long flight," they agreed, and that's not all. "I never thought I'd say this," joked Brent, "but I miss, like, a sweaty nightclub, which I never even wanted to go to before, but now I would like to have somebody's sweaty arm on me."

While we'll have to wait to see what surprises the charming pair pull out on Valentine's Day, it's safe to say they already have the greatest gift of all: each other (and impeccable taste).

Classic Tanqueray Martini Recipe

  • 2 parts Tanqueray London Dry Gin
  • 1 part dry vermouth
  • Garnish: Lemon Twist

Prep: Combine ingredients in a pitcher and stir until combined. Pour cocktails into martini glasses and garnish with a lemon twist.

Tip: Make-ahead pitcher makes entertaining easier.

Tanner Saunders is the Experiences Editor at Travel + Leisure. He'd like a martini and somebody's sweaty arm on him, too. Follow along @Tizanner.

On the silver anniversary of ADVICE, allow me to say thank you to everyone best dating advice for men brent reading and to those who have shared their personal lives in this public forum.

After all, this column wouldn't exist without your questions, so please keep them coming.

(Questions have been modified for space and clarity.)

I went on a date with a guy and had a really good time. At the end of the night, he told me he was married. He said he felt bad and wanted to be honest with me. Yes, I was very upset, as I seem to attract married men. We still talk to each other on the phone and we do see each other two to three times a week at our sons' baseball practices. I have told him several times that we cannot continue talking to each other, and he tells me his relationship with his wife is OK. He best dating advice for men brent to contact me and tells me he wants me, but I don't know if he really likes me. I know he can't just break it off with his wife overnight -- nor would he -- but can he really feel something for me?
Jlag0307; Orlando, FL

In one of the first editions of this column, I explained how, in my answers, I wouldn't be telling people what they should or shouldn't be doing. Doing dating apps whatsapp scam would imply that I know best, best dating advice for men brent, and that's not the case. I'm neither judge nor jury.

Instead, my goal is to paint a 360-degree picture of a situation, to present all viable options and resolutions -- and then let the questioner decide on the proper course of action.

Unfortunately, with this question, I'm having trouble adhering to my mission statement.

This situation is bad all the way around. He's married. Your sons play baseball together. I'm not sure there are two sides to this story.

I don't mean to sound harsh or insensitive, but I don't see how this is a relationship you can pursue. I get that it's difficult to be lonely, and I get that when you find someone you like, you're willing to do just about anything -- and put up with just about anything -- to hold onto that connection.

But do you really want to have an affair with the father of your son's teammate? Before you wade too far into this, think about the potential consequences. Think about if this is what you want for your love story. Think about your son and the humiliation he stands to suffer if things go south. (And in all likelihood, it will go south.) Think about this guy's wife and what it'd feel like to have someone cheat on you. Do you really want to be the other woman?

Not that it makes a difference, but this guy isn't even saying he's looking to leave his wife for you. In fact, he's telling you the exact opposite. He's telling you that his marriage is fine and that he's not going anywhere.

Best-case scenario, he's someone who should never have gotten married and is searching for his next side piece, best dating advice for men brent. Worst-case scenario, he's a scumbag who takes advantage of unsuspecting women to get off, preying on their vulnerabilities in the bleachers during batting practice. Where's the upside? Where's the fairy-tale ending? Where's the ending that results in anything but disaster?

Could he be feeling something for you? Sure. I guess. But I think the more appropriate question is: What does it matter?

Instead of focusing on him, let's focus on you. You said you always attract married men -- the very definition of the unavailable dream. Why do you think that is? Granted, given your son's age and extracurricular activities, these are the guys you most frequently come across, so it could be a product of circumstance.

But if I had to bet, I'd say there's more to it than that. I don't believe you're consciously pursuing other people's husbands, but I do believe they keep showing reddit online dating for men on your doorstep for a reason.

While I accept that there's much in life we can't control, I do think that the worlds we create for ourselves aren't created by accident. They are often a reflection of our inner thoughts and beliefs. To a certain extent, our lives play out as a self-fulfilling prophecy.

So I'm wondering what's making you invest in this toxic relationship. What purpose or void is it filling? Do you not believe you're worthy of something better? Do you not believe you're worthy of happiness? Deep down, is there something that's convinced you that this is the best that you deserve?

I don't know, and I'm not going to guess. In realigning with my mission statement for this column, I'll let you be the one to decide.

Drive traffic to your site, best dating advice for men brent. Simple enough. If you’re laser-focused on generating leads or traffic to your website, social media can make it happen. Whether through promotional posts or social ads, best dating advice for men brent, keeping an eye on conversions and URL clicks can help you better determine your ROI from social media.

Instead, focus on networks where your black transexual dating audience is already active.

Below are some ideas best dating advice for men brent inspiration that can help.

To help best dating advice for men brent down the specifics of what you should be publishing and make sure you’re developing innovative content, here are some social media trends to consider.

An Instagram Stories post from co-op general store Eola General

Stories are especially valuable for taking your followers behind-the-scenes and making your social feed feel more personal. For example, consider how you can use Stories to cover an event or take your followers on a journey without them having to leave the comfort of the ‘gram.

Short-form video

Fifty-four percent of marketers say that video is the most valuable content type for achieving social goals, and for good reason. Social video is booming, especially with the rise of TikTok and  Instagram Reels. Both long-form and short-form productions continue to dominate the social space across all platforms due to their high engagement rate.
